Sherri-Lynn Hamilton ECE IT
My name is Sherri and I am the founding manager of Little Scholars Child Care.
I love to create enthusiastic learning environments that facilitate happy fun filled activities for the children.
I have 27 years experience teaching in kindergarten, school-age, pre-school and infant toddler programs. Since opening Little Scholars in 1997 I have had plenty of opportunities to use and improve communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, supervisory skills, stress managment skills, teaching skills, listening skills and of course the skill of working with and loving the children and their families.
I received my Early Childhood Education certificate at Northern Lights University, my Infant Toddler certificate at Capilano University and my Licence to Practice in the year 2000.
My husband, William and I now have a quiet home as our two sons have grown and now have families of their own. Our oldest son is married with three children and our younger son is married with two children. I love children and I feel so blessed to be still working with the little ones at our child care.
I have to say at Little Scholars we have a great group of fully qualified and caring teachers. This in turn creates a great learning environment for the wonderful children entrusted in our care.
My name is Darlene and I run the School Age Program with my team, Sheila, Janel, and Kimoko.
I have been a worker at Little Scholars for 12 years. I am presently managing the After-school program at Little Scholars Child Care.
I love working with children of all ages. My husband, Steve, and I have 5 children of our own - ages 20 to 28. We also have 3 precious grandchildren.
Some of my interests are music, antiques, and coin collecting.
Some of my favourite activities are canoeing, swimming, horseback riding, and doing puzzles.
My experience at Little Scholars is filled with special memories shared with special people, and I look forward to more of the same in the time to come.!!
